With the exception of IALCH which only accepts trauma patients who qualify for ICU care, all the hospitals in Durban and Pietermaritzburg treat a wide scope of trauma patients.
There are several subspecialities being offered at each hospital, which are staffed by Orthopaedic Surgeons, registrars and medical officers.
